Proman recruitment are looking for a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead and coordinate health and safety activities for the Ground Engineering Works at the massive project development in Leiston area. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations, site standards, and fostering a culture of Zero Harm across all site operations.Key accountabilitiesPlanning, Management and Coordination Lead the development, implementation, and continuous review of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management Plan for ground engineering works.Ensure all activities comply with the Construction Phase Plan (CPP) and site Standard Occupational Health and Safety Requirements.Coordinate with the Principal Contractor (PC), Principal Designer (PD), and subcontractors to ensure safe systems of work are in place and accepted prior to commencement. Risk Management and Compliance Oversee the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring they meet site standards and are Fit for Construction. Ensure Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRAs) are completed and verified.Monitor compliance with site standards for excavation, lifting operations, working at height, plant and equipment, hazardous substances, and temporary work. Incident Reporting and Investigation Lead investigations into incidents and near misses in accordance with site''s Investigate Incidents Procedure.Use tools such as Vigilance, Insight, and the QR Code Observation
