Support Worker

We are looking for and experience support worker to manage a caseload of clients dealing with homelessness. Ideal candidate would have experience working with young people to gain independance and/ or adults. This is a Full time contract position until at least March 2025. To be successful in your application you MUST: Hold a valid DBS ( we can process new DBS'' in house) Have knowledge of working within the supported housing sector. need experience of working with young people and/ or adults dealing with homelessness. Experience of working within housing enviroment Good knowledge of complex needs. Knowledge of equality, diversity, and safeguarding procedures. Basic skills, able to deal with emergencies, good writing skills, good communication skills and someone who is polite. As a support worker you will need: - The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively to the residents when needed - The ability to build good relationships with the residents even if they are unfriendly at first - A good understanding of SMART goals and support plans - Experience of conducting weekly key-working sessions - Engaging residents in residential activities - The ability to work well in a team when required - A non-judgmental approach and attitude towards residents - A commitment to supporting people in difficult circumstances - To have understanding, patience and good listening skills - The ability to stay calm under pressure - The ability to engage the residents in residential
