About the Role:

As an Outdoor Teaching Assistant, you’ll assist both in the classroom and outdoors, ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with outdoor-based studies.
• Support students in practical tasks and help them develop essential life and work skills.
• Provide individualised support for students with SEN, ensuring their needs are met.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and supported.
• Encourage independence and self-confidence in students, promoting their personal growth.
• Assist with the delivery of enterprise and employability skills.
• Work alongside teaching staff to plan and adapt learning activities to suit the needs of each student.

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people Special Educational Needs.
• A passion for working outdoors and a keen interest in vocational education.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.
• A flexible, adaptable approach to working in an ever-changing outdoor environment.
