Are you a recent psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful experience in a specialist education setting before pursuing a career in clinical psychology, therapy, or social work?
An amazing Mental Health Specialist School in Slough is looking for a committed and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 5 to 18 with a range of complex social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, learning disabilities, and additional needs.
Working closely with experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will play a vital role in helping students access learning and develop essential life skills in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
The role as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant:

The Ideal Mental Health Teaching Assistant:
- Holds a degree in Psychology (or related subject)

- May have experience working with children or vulnerable individuals in any capacity (e.g. youth work, care, support work, tutoring)
- Is looking to build relevant experience before further study or a career in education, therapy, or social care
This is a full-time, term-time only role starting in September, though immediate starts are also available. The school is seeking individuals ready to commit for the academic year and beyond.
