OverviewKido is a place where innovation and imagination unite to create modern Early Years settings. We’re looking for a Room Leader to join our team at Kido Nursery and Preschool Wandsworth Bridge - Ensign House, Battersea Reach, London SW18 1TA.
We are international, operating in India, USA and the UK. In the UK all our nurseries are Ofsted rated Good and Outstanding and are based in London and Windsor. We’re still growing with 1-2 new nurseries opening each year. At Kido, we blend the best practices from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches with a unique curriculum for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We believe that a combination of free and structured play, an engaging and interactive learning environment, and an abundance of love, care and attention provides the solid foundation for children in their early years. Salary and benefitsThe Room Leader role offers a salary range of up to £31,000 for full-time, 40 hours per week. By joining Kido you will get:

ResponsibilitiesWelcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition and people are at the core of everything we do. As a Room Leader you’ll be more than just a leader; you’ll be an ambassador for our values and a gatekeeper for our vibrant culture. You’ll take full ownership of your room, translating learning outcomes into inspiring classroom experiences.
You’ll be a team player ensuring that you and your team meet the unique needs of each child, leading your room team to plan, organise and execute engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Kido curriculum. You’ll ensure the educators in your classroom observe and assess their key children and help them set goals for each child. You’ll model excellence, ensuring your team follows standards and drives growth, development and progress.
You’ll create opportunities for curiosity and exploration in indoor and outdoor spaces. With a hands-on approach and attention to detail, you’ll deliver exceptional experiences across children’s learning journeys. Effective communication with parents, children and colleagues will empower you to deliver the best experience.
You’ll help celebrate every child’s journey by observing and recording progress and achievements, aligning to our observation systems so no milestone goes unnoticed and every achievement is celebrated. Your flexibility and insights will be valuable as we push the boundaries of excellence in early years education.
Qualifications

You will be an experienced Level 3 Educator and may already be a Room Leader or Deputy Room Leader
You must hold the right to work in the UK
If shortlisted you’ll be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions prior to interview, in line with our Safer Recruitment process. We will also process an Enhanced DBS check for anyone who joins the team
