About The RoleAs a Placement Data Analyst, you’ll be joining the Asset Risk department and gain hands-on experience in data, analytics, and insight within a commercial environment. Asset Risk is responsible for customer pricing decisions and forecasting key financial risks, including Residual Value, SMR, Insurance, and Economic Capital.
You’ll be part of our Data Analytics and Insights team, helping to ensure our data is reliable, trusted, and interconnected. You’ll support day-to-day operations, contribute to projects, and develop the skills to turn complex data into stories that give stakeholders clarity and confidence in their decisions.
During your placement you will:
Deliver and present reports, dashboards, and insights, collaborating with colleagues to transform data into clear, impactful narratives.
Learn and develop your skills in tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Snowflake.
Support the operational elements of our Data Governance Framework, helping monitor and maintain data quality.
Assist in managing datasets that underpin key Asset Risk activities, learning how these drive decisions across the department.
Work alongside experienced analysts and managers, receiving mentorship, training, and opportunities to develop both your technical and professional skills.

Minimum criteria
You’ll need all of these.
Thriving in the second year of your numerical degree that includes a year in industry
Excited to join us in our London office at least three days a week
Eager to start in July 2026
Confidence with Excel and an interest in developing data skills.
An enthusiasm for data, analytics, and learning new tools and techniques.
What’s great to have (but not essential)
Some experience with SQL, Python, or visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Prior exposure to data through coursework, internships, or work experience.

Recruitment Stages
Application Stage: Submit your CV and response to four questions
Video Assessment: One-way video assessment; answer 5 questions by video response. You will be given 6 days to complete your video assessment from the invitation.
Virtual Interview: Meet with one of our Early Careers Recruitment team. Interviews aim to take place between 24th October– 27th October 2025.
Assessment Centre: Final stage assessment day in our London office on 18th November 2025.
If you are successful at the Assessment Centre stage, you will be offered the role to begin 6th July 2026.
