You\''ll contribute to the success of this fast growing global delivery solutions business for International Cross-border trade by bringing expertise, commitment, and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, has strong communication and problem-solving skills, thrives in a fast-moving environment, has a data driven and analytical approach and is ready to make a meaningful impact in an organization that is passionate about its core values and customer excellence.Working with stakeholders across the business the Senior Operations Manager has overall responsibility for Operations including Planning, Warehouse PandL, Warehouse Health and KPI''s, Airfreight, Aviation Security, Compliance, Transport, Export and Import Clearance, HandS, Disaster Recovery and Continuous Improvement and Best Practice.Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for operations ensuring that processes run efficiently and effectivelyBe the Voice of Operations and the Operations Champion throughout the businessResponsibility for operational planning using a data driven and analytical approachManage, lead, train and mentor cross functional direct reports (Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager and Compliance and Aviation Security Manager) whilst having overall responsibility for the wider Operations Team (circa 20 team members)Responsibility for the operations budget and operations/warehouse PandLResponsibility for driving improvements, best practice and operational excellenceDevelop and implement operational strategies and SOPsResponsibility for warehouse health, procurement, KPI''s and operational performanceResponsibility for always ensuring compliance with regulations and health and safety standardsOverall responsibility for relationships with regulatory bodies and external consultants i.e. CAA, HMRC (Border Force, MOU, Trading Standards etc), Traffic CommissionerResponsibility for disaster recovery planning which is regularly reviewed and testedQualifications
All applicants must have previous experience working for an International eCommerce Cross-Border Delivery solutions business.You will also need to be a good communicatorProblem solverFlexible on hoursUnderstand bonded warehousesHave the ability to work under pressure and cope in fast paced environmentUnderstand and have experience in running an eCommerce operation within an International cross border deliver businessHave the drive to thrive in an organisation growing quicklyBe customer focusedBe data drivenUnderstand numbers in OperationsUnderstand the power of data and how it drives improvementIdeally have experience in the relocation of a warehouse, as they have expansion plans to move to bigger premises in the futureWhy join the business
