Providing technical engineering support to mechanical engineering design activities for new and legacy productsDeveloping conceptual designs for radar products, sub-systems and unitsProducing technical documentation in line with company guidelinesAttending and contributing to design review discussions/meetingsEngaging with different engineering disciplines and competencies which exist within the local project and BAE Systems more broadlyUndertaking continuous personal development as required in order to build own skill, knowledge and competence in a range of business situationsSupporting the development of other early careers engineers within the disciplineYour skills and experiences

Essential:Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical EngineeringFull engineering lifecycle experienceDefence, Marine or extreme environment engineering industry experienceHave a broad understanding of mechanical engineering theory and technology with an interest in developing specialist experience in cooling systems, FE and CFDBenefits

As you engage with engineering functions across the business, as our team covers the whole engineering lifecycle using the latest cutting-edge technology, becoming a member of the Mechanical Engineering Radar team will provide you with significant exposure inside the larger BAE Systems organisation.BAE Systems Naval Radar provides Radar products and support services to a diverse range of customers worldwide. This role will provide engineering management support as part of a team delivering capability upgrades to the Royal Navy over the next 10 years. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge, with the potential to lead into more senior positions within a global business.Working style
