Finance Manager

The company is a private recruitment business operating with two core brands
covering a wide range of disciplines, focussed around the Hospitality sector.
andnbsp;Purpose of the Role
The role of the Finance Manager holds responsibility for a variety of tasks. The core purpose of the
role is to lead the Finance team in its preparation of monthly management andamp; financial accounts,
annual audit, statutory accounting and to support the individual functions within the Finance
department.
Timely and accurate production of information such as balance sheet recs, monthly management
accounts, KPI reports, bonus schedules, Pandamp;L variance analysis and other ad hoc reporting assists
the management team in making important decisions that affect the Group as a whole.
Responsibilities
andbull; Lead the Finance team on the timely and accurate consolidated
management accounts for the board and offices, including profit and
loss accounts, KPIandrsquo;s, metrics, collation of reports from other
departments eg Credit Control, HR
andbull; Conduct annual appraisals for direct reports
andbull; Lead the Groupandrsquo;s annual audit
andbull; Various balance sheet reconciliation andamp; review
andbull; Preparation of staff bonus calculations
andbull; Respond to technical queries from the branches and support
departments. ie VAT andamp; PAYE queries, bonus queries
andbull; Staff payroll review andamp; postings to the ledger
andbull; Provide training to wider team as and when required
andbull; Pandamp;L analysis
andbull; Post prepayments andamp; accruals
andbull; Business partnering
Knowledge and qualifications
andbull; Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
andbull; Knowledge of the recruitment, telecoms or construction sectors would be an advantage
andbull; Advanced Excel preferred
andbull; Working knowledge of and Power Query is required
andbull; Working knowledge of SQL, Visual Basic and MS Scripts would be an advantage

andbull; Communication skills and ability to develop and maintain business relationships
andbull; Organisational awareness, personal planning and time management.
andbull; Ability to analyse processes andamp; procedures, and make improvements where necessary
andbull; Problem solving
andbull; Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
Experience
andbull; Minimum of 3 years leadership experience.
andbull; A minimum of 5 years relevant Finance work experience is required.
andbull; Direct commercial exposure to the recruitment, telecoms or construction sectors would be an
advantage.
