Supply Desk is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Watford. This is a full-time role beginning in September, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting childrenandrsquo;s learning and development across all areas of the curriculum.

Job Description:


  • Provide in-class support to pupils, working closely with the class teacher to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Support children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, particularly those with additional learning needs or EHCPs.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and the organisation of teaching resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using effective support strategies.
  • Help create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the social and emotional development of pupils, encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Contribute to planning meetings and attend relevant training and professional development sessions.



Our ideal candidate will:


  • Have previous experience working as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar educational support role (school-based experience preferred).
  • Be passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with children and staff.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be proactive, flexible, and confident in supporting a range of learning styles and needs.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a clear Enhanced DBS check.
  • Be open to ongoing training in areas such as safeguarding, behaviour management, and SEND support.
