Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer

Sites: 2x Central London | Elstree | Watford
Salary: £48,000 per annum + Travel Allowance + Overtime + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We’re recruiting a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a leading FM provider, covering four key sites—two in Central London, one in Elstree, and one in Watford. While your primary base will be the Central London sites, occasional travel to Elstree and Watford may be required a couple of times per month.

Some of the sites include laboratory-based environments, so experience working in clean, regulated, or controlled settings is a plus.

The Role:

You’ll be responsible for:

• Carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical plant
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on pumps, valves, AHUs, FCUs, and pipework
• Supporting minor project works and upgrades
• Liaising with site contacts and ensuring high standards of service delivery
• Managing your own schedule across the four sites with support from the central team

What You’ll Need:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing
• Experience in commercial building services (multi-site or laboratory experience preferred)
• Good understanding of HVAC systems and general building maintenance
• Full UK driving licence (for occasional travel to Elstree and Watford)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
