Technical Services Manager (Mechanical or Electrical) - Healthcare
Location: Ilford | Chadwell Heath | East London

We''re working with a well-established facilities management provider to recruit a Technical Services Manager for a busy healthcare site in East London. This is a hands-on leadership role where you''ll be responsible for ensuring engineering services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard in a critical environment.

You''ll take ownership of day-to-day technical operations, acting as the go-to specialist for your discipline while supporting and developing the on-site engineering team. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, people management, and operational oversight, with a strong focus on compliance and service delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading technical service delivery across the site
• Acting as the subject matter expert for either Mechanical or Electrical services
• Managing engineers and specialist subcontractors
• Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and healthcare standards (HTM)
• Managing work in progress, reporting, and overall performance
• Driving continuous improvement across engineering operations

This opportunity would suit someone who has experience in a similar Technical Services or M&E Manager position within a facilities management or building services environment, ideally with exposure to healthcare or critical sites. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead from the front are essential.
