Newly Qualified Salaried GP (PCN ARRS role) — flexible number of sessions available. Fixed contract up to 31st March 2026 with potential for extension. This role is part of the PCN ARRS and based at Leeds Student Medical Practice, Leeds.Interview date: Tuesday 14th October or Wednesday 15th October (to be confirmed).Applicants must be within 2 years of completing their CCT at the time of appointment and must not have had substantive employment within a GP practice. Applicants MUST have the right to work in the UK; we are not able to offer sponsorship.Early application is encouraged as LSMP reserves the right to close the advert early due to demand.Location: Leeds Student Medical Practice, 4 Blenheim Walk, Leeds LS2 9AE.Main responsibilities
Provide face-to-face and telephone consultations for routine and urgent care.Conduct patient home visits (low frequency).Manage patient care in surgery, including investigating and reviewing results, developing care plans, and making referrals to secondary care or other providers.Issue and sign repeat prescriptions, ensuring alignment with national/local guidelines.Administer and handle patient-related queries, test results, referral letters, and other tasks in a timely manner.Record clear, contemporaneous consultation notes using EMIS clinical system.Ensure safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective care in line with disease management protocols and NICE guidance.Independently prescribe medications within scope of practice and review patient medications per local guidelines.Utilise available clinical and support staff to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.Actively participate in MDT and care conference meetings as required; contribute to on-call duties on a pro-rata basis if required.Professional development, governance and teamwork
Maintain awareness of clinical practice developments; attend regular meetings and participate in annual performance reviews and mandatory training.Engage in clinical governance via audits, peer reviews, and significant event analysis.Collaborate with health and social care providers to deliver integrated, safe services; provide clinical support to staff and ensure high standards of care.Health promotion, safety and safeguarding
