PMLD Teaching Assistant - Greenwich - -95115 per day

We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Greenwich. This is a highly rewarding role supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

The Role:
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have complex needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical needs. You will support learning through sensory-based activities and assist with personal care where required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with PMLD
• Support sensory learning activities and engagement
• Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and medical staff
• Support communication using alternative methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton)
• Maintain a safe, calm, and structured environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with PMLD, SEN, or care backgrounds
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs
• Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Passion for supporting pupils with complex needs
