Supply Desk is working closely with a well-regarded secondary school in Watford to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Design andamp; Technology (Dandamp;T) Teacher for a full-time position starting September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to join a thriving department in a supportive and forward-thinking school.

The ideal candidate will be confident teaching Key Stage 3 and 4, with the ability to deliver engaging, practical lessons that inspire creativity and problem-solving in students. Experience across areas such as resistant materials, graphics, product design, or food technology is welcome.



Job Description:


  • Plan and deliver high-quality Design andamp; Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, preparing students for GCSE examinations.
  • Create a safe and stimulating environment in workshops and classrooms.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Work collaboratively with department colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Contribute to whole-school activities, enrichment, and extracurricular Dandamp;T projects.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management.



Our Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Have experience teaching Dandamp;T in a secondary school setting.
  • Be confident using a range of tools, materials, and equipment safely.
  • Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for design and innovation.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and teamwork.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check.
