Production and Material Controller Location: Langley, Berkshire - Full Time - Site Based About the Role The Production and Material Controller owns the end-to-end flow of materials and production. You will ensure the right parts are in the right place at the right time - sequenced correctly to meet customer commitments while maintaining efficiency and quality. Balancing production scheduling, WIP control and capacity planning with material availability and procurement coordination, you will act as the critical link between Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Key Responsibilities Production Planning and Scheduling Build and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS)Create daily and weekly production schedules to achieve OTIF (On Time, In Full)Sequence jobs to optimise efficiency and minimise changeoversBalance production loading and capacity, escalating issues where requiredLead daily shop floor review meetings to monitor performance and resolve issues Shop Floor Order and WIP Management Raise and manage Works Orders (ensuring BOM and revision accuracy)Monitor WIP status and update MRP accordinglyProvide forward visibility of customer commitment datesMaintain accurate production data within ERP/MRP systems Material and Shortage Management Generate kit lists and support kitting and packaging activitiesProactively identify and escalate material shortagesWork closely with Purchasing on PO priorities, allocations and lead timesManage free-issued components to subcontract manufa
