# Manager / Senior Manager - Programme Advisory and Capital Projects## This is a rare opportunity to be part of a dynamic team from its early stages, with the chance to grow your own portfolio and influence the direction of our UK Advisory offering.**About the Team**Our Programme Advisory and Capital Projects team works across:* Delivery strategy and business cases* Programme strategy and PMO set-up* Governance and assurance propositionsWe support clients in defining capital programmes, securing funding, and setting up organisations for successful delivery. **Key Duties:**Client Delivery and Commercial Management* Lead end-to-end delivery of client assignments as key client contact.* Manage client satisfaction, scope changes, and challenges.* Quality assure deliverables and monitor commercial performance (resourcing, change control, invoicing, issue management).* Operate as a trusted advisor for our clients.Business Development and Market Presence* Manage and develop an active sales pipeline (leads, opportunities, proposals).* Lead account management and bids, focusing on storyboarding and commercial elements.* Lead proposition development and capability growth.* Build Buro Happold and Advisory exposure within chosen markets.Leadership, Coaching and Team Development* Manage performance, development, and progression of team members.* Ensure wellbeing and motivation of assignment teams.* Lead Advisory people projects and collaborate across geographies/disciplines.**What we’re looking for**We’re seeking a Manager or Senior Manager with:* Proven UK market experience in capital projects and programme advisory.* A consulting background, ideally with an engineering or project management foundation.* Strong client relationship-building skills – existing networks are a plus.* A seller/doer mindset with a passion for business development.* Ambition to grow a team and shape our advisory offering.**Essential requirements*** A relevant professional qualification (e.g. CEng, MICE, MRICS or equivalent).* Experience in a major consulting firm in a client-facing role with business development responsibilities.* Prior experience in the construction industry, including (but not limited to) design consultancy, project management or cost consultancy.* Technical knowledge of design, procurement, construction, contract management, and construction delivery.* Strong commercial acumen and market awareness.* Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.* Ability to build and manage engagement teams.* Confidence, independence, and proactivity.* Willingness to travel as required.At Buro Happold, you’ll be surrounded by intellectual and engineering challenges of the highest calibre.
