Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Hitchin
Working Hours: Rotational Shifts (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm)
Hourly Rate: £12.25 per hour (with an increase after 12 weeks)
 
Our highly established and extremely busy client based in Hitchin are looking for Warehouse Operative''s to join their team on a Temp to Perm basis. The successful candidate must come from a Warehouse & Production background, and be able to keep up with the physical demands of the role.
 
Main duties as a Warehouse Operative:
- Booking in deliveries and sampling good, manually lifting and moving loads of up to 25kg
- Loading pallets onto designated trailer using a PPT
- Loading and unloading deliveries using a Forklift truck
- Booking in pallets and using in-house system to log data and organise deliveries and stock
- Putting away & rotating stock
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
 
What''s needed as a Warehouse Operative:
- Previous Warehouse & Production experience
- Pivot steer P1 (flexi VNA) Forklift license (would accept other licenses)
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
- A good understanding of food production is desirable but not essential
- Ideally available immediately
- Good team player and able to build relationships
