Hybrid working with main office in ManchesterOur growing team is on the lookout for a newly qualified Serious Injury Paralegal searching for the next step in their law career.This is a fantastic chance to work directly with the clients on quality cases such as brain injuries, spinal injuries, fatal cases and pro-bono cases.If this sounds like you, you’ll play a crucial role in assisting clients who have suffered from physical or psychological harm. You’ll join a nurturing and hard-working team of Serious Injury and Clinical Negligence specialists including solicitors, paralegals and secretaries.Who we''re looking for?

A highly organised individual with the ability to organise their own workloadStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneouslyA person with knowledge of personal injury laws and legal proceduresExceptional communication and negotiation skillsProficiency in legal software and research toolsExcellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsEmpathetic approach towards clientsA good understanding of GDPR and Anti-Money LaunderingAn enthusiasm for learning and personal developmentThe ideal candidate will have a driving licenceWhat you''ll do

Assist senior lawyers and handle a modest case load of your own under close supervisionAttend court hearings (with counsel and on an observation only basis)Interview clients, witnesses, and medical professionals to obtain relevant information and testimoniesAnalyze complex legal documents, including medical records, police reports, and insurance policiesCompassionately communicate with clientsQuantify personal injury and clinical negligence claimsNegotiate and communicate with third parties such as insurers and other solicitor firmsAt Alderstone we support a hybrid and flexible approach to working hours.
