As Bar Manager at our clients exclusive residential development in west London, you will oversee the daily operations of the 11 th
floor rooftop Beach Club,
comprising a stylish 60 seat indoor/outdoor bar
serving teas, coffees, wines, beers and cocktails; a private dining room with its own kitchen; an outdoor barbecue zone; heated al fresco seating
, as well as a stunning swimming pool with relaxing sun loungers, and a tranquil olive tree garden.What makes this role truly unique is the electric yet chilled atmosphere youll help create: imagine curated cocktails flowing beneath soft outdoor lighting, and curated playlists warming up the evening air. Youll have the creative freedom to host themed community experiences, from wine tasting events to sunset yoga in the gardens, making every shift dynamic, social, and undeniably fun.You will have responsibility for ensuring the highest levels of safety, service excellence, and community engagement. Reporting directly to our on-site General Manager, you will lead a team of six Beach Club Hosts, coordinating poolside safety, all-day beverage service, bookings, stock control, and event planning. where world-class leisure, genuine community spirit, and pure fun converge.Key Responsibilities:General:Exemplify professionalism in punctuality, appearance, and conduct at all times.Serve as the primary point of contact for resident enquiries, feedback, and incident resolution.Uphold and reinforce our core values of Excellence, Accountability, Integrity, and Teamwork.Deliver exceptional, personalised service and anticipate residents needs.Ensure all SOPs for cleanliness, hygiene, and luxury standards are consistently followed.Lead by example in showing a positive, proactive attitude and enthusiasm.Operations:Oversee all day-to-day Beach Club operations, including opening/closing procedures and facility walk-throughs.Manage the pool areas safety protocols: supervise and support the pool lifeguard rota, enforce pool rules, and oversee the conducting of water-quality testing.Supervise and be hands on during drinks service which is offered from 9am to 10pm each dayHandle stock control: perform regular stock takes, place orders, receive deliveries, and reconcile invoices.Administer the payment system and ensure accurate financial reporting.Coordinate bookings and logistics for the private dining area, liaising with resident hosts or external caterers.Maintain the appearance and readiness of all public areas via scheduled inspections and prompt follow-ups.Customer Experience and Community Building:Design and curate a calendar of social and wellness events (e.g., poolside yoga, wine tastings, movie nights) to foster community spirit.Oversee enquiries and bookings for both daily use and special events, ensuring flawless execution.Provide on-boarding induction tours and re-orientation to new and returning residents.Gather resident feedback to continuously enhance the Beach Club experience.Coach and mentor Beach Club Hosts in delivering warm welcomes, anticipating needs, and handling resident interactions with discretion and empathy.Health and Safety:Conduct and document opening/closing safety checks, pool/spa water tests, and facility inspections per schedule. (full training will be given)Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations (e.g., NPLQ, Pool Plant Operator standards).Act as Duty Rescuer/First Aider when required, responding swiftly to incidents.Report accidents, near-misses, and defects to the General Manager and follow through on corrective actions.Maintain thorough records of all safety checks and training sessions.Training, Learning and Development:Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the Beach Club Hosts.Organise and participate in regular training on service standards, safety procedures, and community-building techniques.Develop personal and team development plansStay abreast of hospitality trends and share best practices with the team.Skills and ExperienceMust-haves:Proven experience managing or supervising bar operationsStrong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a small team.Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking under pressure.Proficiency with POS systems, stock-management software, and Microsoft Office.Demonstrable emotional intelligence and cultural awareness.Desirable:Experience in luxury hospitality or high-end residential amenities.NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or equivalent.Event planning or private dining coordination experience.RemunerationCompetitive salary starting at £35kOpportunity to earn a 10% bonus based on agreed KPIsEight-hour shifts, five days a week on a rolling rota (includes some weekend and evening shifts).Opportunity for overtimeBenefitsCareer-development pathways with clear progression opportunities.Access to ongoing training workshops, industry seminars, and wellness events.Employee assistance programme and regular team-engagement initiatives.Social events, charity involvement, and community volunteering opportunities.Access to on-site amenities and referral incentives for friends and family.
