MLD Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time / Part-time

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) in a welcoming and inclusive school environment in Burnham. This role involves working closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support that helps students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering differentiated lessons and activities for pupils with MLD.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to reinforce learning objectives.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Support pupilsandrsquo; social and emotional development alongside academic progress.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with MLD or other special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
