This role will suit someone confident and resilient, with a strong track record of telephone-based collections within a business-to-customer environment.The RoleReporting to the Finance team, your key responsibilities will include:Proactively chasing late payments, rent arrears and fees via high-volume telephone contactBuilding professional relationships with customers to agree and secure payment plansMinimising overdue balances and improving cash flowAccurately updating systems and maintaining clear records of customer interactionsWorking closely with colleagues to achieve shared collection targetsThe Ideal CandidateProven experience in a Credit Control / Collections roleConfident and professional telephone manner, with the ability to handle challenging conversationsStrong communication and negotiation skillsGood IT skills, with experience navigating complex finance systems such as Unit4 / Agresso Business World (or similar)A team-focused approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentWorking ArrangementsFully office-based, 5 days per weekConvenient Chelmsford location, close to the station with parking nearbyWorking hours:Monday-Thursday: 8:30
