The Senior Software Engineer MES is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems. Deliver second-line support for MES platforms , addressing incidents, service requests, and user queries in a timely manner.Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ensure optimal performance and compliance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, QA, IT) to analyze and resolve MES-related problems.Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for recurring issues.Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for MES systems, adhering to best practices and coding standards.Provide training and support to MES users, promoting best practices and system adoption.Contribute to the testing and deployment of new MES functionalities and integrations.Assist in task estimation, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives for MES support activities.Apply agile methodologies and principles to manage projects and deliver value quickly and efficiently.More than 5 years of experience in applications of IT support, with a focus on regulatory and Quality Solutions.Proficient in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software and system issues in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with database technologies (, SQL), scripting, and integration with shop-floor equipment.Knowledge of ITIL (IT infrastructure Library) or similar service management frameworks is an advantage.Experience with software development methodologies (, Agile) and version control systems (, GitHub).Proficient in one or more programming languages relevant to MES systems (, Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).Ability to document technical solutions and provide user training.Willingness to participate in on-call support rotations and respond to urgent production issues when required.A Bachelor''s / Masters degree in Engineering, Software development, Information technology, or a related field.
