About the Role We re on the lookout for a Marketing Officer to join our Sports and Leisure team to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months. This is a key role in promoting Chelmsford City Council s four leisure centres and driving awareness of our broad range of fitness memberships, sports facilities, wellbeing initiatives, and community events. Key Responsibilities As our Marketing Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering eye-catching, results-driven campaigns across both digital and traditional channels. You''ll work on a wide variety of projects aimed at promoting all aspects of the leisure environment, supporting income and membership growth targets. This will involve producing engaging marketing content and developing targeted, data-informed campaigns to reach both existing and new audiences. You will also be responsible for creating and scheduling content across websites, email marketing, social media, and digital screens. A key part of the role will include writing compelling copy and producing creative materials such as advertisements, posters, and leaflets.
