Job description - the role

What you''ll do:

• Follow technical instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high-
  quality machining across a variety of different components and product families.
• Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, both mechanical and electronic.
• Interpret manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
• Assessment of whether the quality of components produced meet required
  standards.
• Effective team work to resolve quality issues and ensure work is being completed
  to plan.
• Scope to train and work across a variety of machines

The skills you''ll need:

• Applicants must have a time served advanced apprenticeship with a minimum of
  City & Guilds Level 3, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)/Scottish Vocational
  Qualification (SVQ) Level 3 or equivalent. To support your application please attach a copy of your certificate as proof of completing a recognised apprenticeship together with your CV.
• Experience with aerospace components would be preferable.
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration,
  dimensional and visual inspection.
• Pro-active, patient, capable of managing time effectively.
