Refrigeration Service Engineer

Location: Manchester & North West

Salary: -40,000 - -48,000 per annum
OTE: -48,000 - -55,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to join a well-established team covering Manchester and the wider North West region.

This role focuses on servicing, planned maintenance, and reactive breakdown support across a portfolio of commercial refrigeration contracts. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, customer-focused, and confident working independently.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial refrigeration systems

• Respond to reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently

• Electrical and refrigeration fault finding

• Compressor replacements, leak detection, and refrigerant recovery

• Ensure cold room temperature compliance and system efficiency

• Participate in emergency call-out rota

• Complete accurate electronic service reports

• Cold rooms and walk-in freezers

• Multideck and upright display refrigeration

• Pack systems

• Remote condenser units

• Split A/C systems

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

• F-Gas Category 1 certification

• Proven experience in commercial refrigeration service and maintenance

• Full UK driving licence

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
