Community Safety Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operational Manager for a 3-6 month interim assignment to lead and oversee a busy frontline service. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of operations, including staff supervision, performance monitoring, service delivery, and effective resource management.The successful candidate will have:- Substantial proven experience of managing a team within a local authority/community safety environment.- Experience in leading, developing, and motivating teams and individuals to achieve key Council and partnership priorities.- Experience of partnership working and understanding the relevant skills and approaches needed to maintain strong relationships to ensure effective service delivery.- Building collaborative relationships- Works and engages constructively with key stakeholders.- Lead the planning and continual improvement of their business area to ensure delivery of high-quality services that achieve performance against council plan priorities and partnership objectives.- Analytical judgement, policy making, high-level report writing, and agile decision making.- Service improvement, innovation, and initiative- Identifies opportunities, problems, or obstacles and is prepared to take action now to shape and implement a vision for the future.- Political influence and management- works effectively in a high profile and politically sensitive environment.- Effectively managing and monitoring external contracts.
