Aon are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our team which is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chelmsford / or London office. The Operations Manager will be primarily responsible for providing oversight and supporting the operational performance and processes of the Commercial Risk London business units.

What The Day Will Look Like
Assisting in the monthly operational governance process, and produce output suitable for inclusionEscalation, tracking and completion of actions raised in audit and assurance workEnsuring policies and FCA requirements are adhered to, such as EandO management, Business Continuity Plans, File Reviews, key KPIsUnderstanding, oversee and support the client teams with credit controlAssisting in the delivery of successful operational and business related change projects and process improvements as neededWorking collaboratively with colleagues to deliver ABS initiativesWorking with outsourcing partners to deliver business resultsIdentifying and implementing of key change projects that improves operational efficiency or regulatory adherence, including project management, and other ad-hoc support as requiredResponsible for working in accordance with the AON UK Limited Risk Management Framework and compliance with the AON UK Limited policies including participation in the management of risks (including the completion of mandatory training) that may adversely impact the business interests or reputation of the Group CompanyManaging key Partners and developing relationships with business colleagues

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success
Enthusiastic teammate with strong relationship and empathy building skills, who is capable of selling reasons for change / plans to a diverse range of relationshipsStrong understanding of and experience of change management principles and approachesExcellent analytical, numerical and information gathering skills. Determines pertinent information required by management to make effective decisions. Ensures that the gathering, processing, distribution and use of this information occur in a timely, accurate and cost-effective mannerStrong interpersonal skills - able to communicate well across organisational levels, including well-developed influencing skillsGood understanding of the Insurance IndustryStrong track record in change management and operational improvement or process re-engineering, including working with offshore establishmentsDemonstrated success through influencing and leading high-performance teamsA track record of operating successfully in a regulated environment and with a good understanding of risk management, legal and compliance issues.Experience of introducing sophisticated systems and new working practices into a business on time and on budgetSets priorities to maximise high value activities and outcomes, including strong organisation skillsUses client, financial and operational data to direct resources - making resource allowance decisions to maximise effectivenessFocuses on initiatives that drive continuous improvement in marginSolving problems, take decisions and implement to completionDemonstrate flexibility of thought to the extent that plans can be adjusted as performance dictates
