We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Graduate by Hilton in Cambridge as a Hotel Sales Manager.The 148-bedroom Graduate by Hilton Cambridge hotel is part of the Graduate by Hilton collection inspired by the prestigious University of Cambridge and its surrounding town. Set right on the River Cam, in the heart of Cambridge''s historic centre. The hotel feels like an extension of the university, with nods to college architecture.THE ROLEAs the Hotel Sales Manager, you will pro-actively source new business for the hotel, develop relationships with agents and direct clients to keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace by following up on all sales leads, identifying opportunities, and conducting hotel presentations and site visits. The role involves regular travel to meet clients, attend trade shows, and represent the hotel at industry events.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Local and national businesses and develop relationships to drive business in all segments (MICE, group, corporate and transient).To take the business to the next level with an all-encompassing strategy that envelopes all areas of the business and takes advantage of the opportunities available.To be responsible for the development and implementation of the hotel sales plan, which encompasses direct sales calls; telesales; research; appointment making and trading; promotional campaigns; corporate entertaining, networking, social events, client familiarisation visits and contract negotiation.To drive and coordinate all sales activity to maximise revenue from existing accounts at the hotel on a national and international level.To constantly recognise and develop new accounts from the corporate markets.To investigate new areas of business in terms of market development into new territories and market segments to quantifiable targets.To ensure the accurate processing, distribution and recording/filing and following up of all sales correspondence, including the execution of contracts, quotations, confirmations, and cancellations.Regularly meet with the hotel General Manager and Director of Sales to communicate customers'' feedback, sales information, competitor knowledge, pricing strategies, and any other influences that may affect the business.Participating in trade shows and events within the hotels, the industry, and external organisations.Host client FAM trips at the hotel and conduct hotel show rounds.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOUComputer literacy - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Knowledge of Delphi, salesforce, and OnQ Systems.Proactive sales experience within a hotel environment is a ''must''.Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.Confident in meeting new people and presenting to large groups.Strong understanding of revenue management principles.Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all the key business segments; Corporate/MICE/Group/Leisure/Consortia.THE PERKSSalary: competitive plus discretionary annual bonusEnjoy discounted hotel stays and food and beverage at Hilton properties worldwide.Complimentary welcome stay experience.Continuously develop your skills and knowledge through our dedicated learning platform.Earn rewards up to £250 by referring talented individuals to join our team.Access savings and cashback from a wide range of retail and leisure outlets.Get 24/7 support with a dedicated helpline for your well-being.Enjoy free meals during your shift at our modern Team Restaurant.Celebrate with your team through recognition programs and exciting incentives.Actively participate in programs aimed at building a more inclusive and sustainable world, in line with our ECG policy.Convenient parking available for cars, mopeds, scooters, and bicycles.ABOUT GRADUATE HOTELSGraduate Hotels is a unique collection of handcrafted hotels in the most dynamic university towns around the globe, including Graduate Cambridge and The Randolph Hotel in Oxford.
