Our client, based in Exeter is currently recruiting for a Head of Housing on a 12 month temporary contract.The position is due to start in a few weeks time on a full-time basis. The daily rate is £358.34 on an umbrella basis.The ideal candidate will have experience working across a wide range of disciplines including Housing Options, Allocations, Neighbourhood Management and Supported Housing.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Lead the management, development, performance and continuous improvement of all Housing services including, Housing Needs and Homelessness, Tenancy Services and Rent, and Private Sector Housing. Managing significant budgetsLeading the delivery of a highly effective, legally compliant housing options serviceProviding management and leadership across the temporary accommodation teamBe involved in high level eviction court casesHandling recruitment, staff training and disciplinaries when neededDeveloping policies and procedures across the Housing spectrum Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Educated to Degree Level or equivalent relevant to HousingEvidence of Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPD)in relation to Housing Management ServicesChartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) or working towards CIH or other relevant profession bodyA minimum of foundation degree/Level 5 qualification in housing management.
