MERITUS are recruiting for a Missile Mechanical Architect to join our client on an initial 6 month deal from their major site in Stevenage.MISSILE MECHANICAL ARCHITECT - INSIDE IR35 - £60 PER HOUR - STEVENAGE - 6 months - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESSThe role is responsible for the delivery of the missile mechanical architecture requirements and typical responsibilities include:Establishing the Missile Airframe Task Requirements Specification (TRS) to ensure a structured andamp; coherent mechanical response to the overall Missile TRSManagement of the mechanical interface with the launcherManagement of Mechanical andamp; Thermal Interfaces across the MissileDefining the optimum mechanical architecture for all variants of the missile, ensuring the mechanical architecture and interfaces meet requirementsImplementation of GMA Policies to ensure Modularity andamp; Reuse objectives are achievedDevelopment of the overall proving logic for the validation of the AirframeEnsuring mechanical compliance to the Airframe TRS for missile certificate of designInterface with and manage customer expectations throughout the development processProducing Statements of Work and plans for activities within their sphere of responsibilityDirect technical supervision of engineers within their team and indirect management of engineers in the extended project teamControlling assigned budgets, managing personal workload and identifying any further resource needsSkillset/experience required:Who and what
