Senior Stress Engineer

Important: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance and must hold British Nationality as their sole / primary nationality. Working: The role offers flexible working but does require engineers on site for 3 days per week and is a on secure site where SC clearance is needed. The Stress Engineers will collaborate closely across multi-disciplinary teams to develop the mechanical solution The team the Stress Engineers will join are responsible for the structural and thermal performance within the business. This team deliver structural and thermal analysis expertise across the whole product lifecycle from studies in the early concept stage and detailed development of engineering designs to manufacturing concessions and in-service support. The breadth of work within the team can provide opportunities to gain experience across a wide range of structural analysis disciplines, including but not limited to: Classical hand calculations; CAE Modelling (Static, Dynamic, Fatigue, Aeroelastics, Non-Linear, Impact, Kinematic), Qualification and Design Testing, Fault Investigation and Loads Derivation. Skills, Qualification and Experience Degree qualified in a relevant engineering / science discipline or have significant experience in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Analysis etc.). Demonstrable experience in assessing structures (e.g. aerospace) using both classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable). Experience in estima
