Science Teacher (Teacher in Charge of KS4 Science) Location: Hackney A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a highly skilled and dedicated Science Teacher to take on the role of Teacher in Charge (TiC) of Key Stage 4 Science at a progressive secondary school in Hackney. This is a pivotal role for an educator passionate about guiding students through their GCSE Science journey, ensuring strong foundations in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The successful candidate will lead a team of passionate educators to deliver an outstanding and engaging curriculum at this crucial stage. The Role The Science Teacher (TiC of Key Stage 4 Science) will: Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3-5, with a leadership focus on Key Stage 4. Oversee the planning, resourcing, and assessment of the Key Stage 4 Science curriculum (Trilogy and Triple Science). Monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions for GCSE Science cohorts. Coach and support other Science teachers, particularly those teaching Key Stage 4. Collaborate with the Head of Science on departmental strategy and school-wide initiatives. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a qualified Science Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who: Possesses excellent subject knowledge across the Science disciplines and a strong understanding of GCSE specifications.
