HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician
Job description The Company William Gilder Ltd has grown from modest provisions into a successful and sustainable provider of specialist waste transport and treatment services. We service and maintain our own fleet of around forty articulated tractor units and fifty vacuum tankers. In addition, we also offer maintenance and repair facilities to third party external clients. The role We are currently seeking a fully-qualified HGV mechanic to work 40 hours a week plus paid lunch breaks. Overtime available on alternate Saturday''s.You will be working in a team of highly skilled and experienced HGV mechanics on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles. The success applicant will be required to undertake the following duties: Six weekly vehicle inspections General servicing and pre-planned maintenance Reactive maintenance as required MOT preparation and presentation Correction of running defects To follow instruction and direction from the Workshop Foreman Carry out best and safe working practicesIn return, we offer the following: Salary will be dependent on experience and skill set 28 days holiday entitlement per year (including bank holidays) Holiday Incentive Scheme (opportunity to earn additional holiday based on length of service) Death in service benefit (following successful completion of probation) Company sick pay after 1 years qualifying service Staff discount at other establishments within the Group Excellent working conditions in our modern workshop facilitiesThe work is
