An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a leading food wholesaler and distributor. This is a fast paced, field based role where no two days are the same and where your focus will be on driving new business growth across Plymouth and the surrounding region. This role is predominantly new business focused, with around 80 percent of your time spent identifying opportunities, winning new customers and building long term partnerships. The Role As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving sales growth across your territory by developing new accounts while also managing key existing relationships. Key responsibilities include: Deliver sustainable sales and profit growth in line with agreed targets Generate profitable new business through proactive prospecting, canvassing and account acquisition Identify opportunities within existing accounts to maximise revenue and reduce order losses Analyse territory sales data to identify growth opportunities Build and maintain a strong prospect pipeline and customer database Work collaboratively with category specialists to deliver a coordinated approach to customer development Provide accurate reporting and market insights to your line manage
