As Head of Quality and Safeguarding, you will report directly to the Deputy Director of Adult Social Care and work closely with the Principal Social Worker, Principal Occupational Therapist, and the Service Team Manager for the Safeguarding and DoLS Hub. You will:Lead quality assurance and safeguarding governance across all adult social care teams.Champion professional standards and reflective practice.Ensure statutory responsibilities under the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other legislation are met with integrity and compassion.Drive continuous improvement and embed a culture of learning, accountability, and co-production.Contribute to RBWM’s strategic priorities: building inclusive, healthy communities, promoting prevention and choice, and delivering compassionate, high-quality services.About us

Qualifications

Social Work Degree or equivalent. Registered with SWE.Advanced professional qualifications e.g. Practice Educator, AMHP, Best Interest Assessor, Leadership or Management or Change Management, which is desirable.Experience

Significant social work experience, working together with others across health and social care.To have significant experience of managing social care practice in a local government setting.To have experience of managing a team through a significant period of change.Knowledge of legislation, statutory requirements, and national guidance in relation to Safeguarding and Adult Social Care delivery.Disclosure and Barring Service Check
