4 days on, 6 days off (with sleep nights). We are a 365 day a year service due to the nature of our work. Rotas are given in advance.Pay rate:

£38,475 to £40,815 per annum. Includes opportunities to pick up extra shifts / overtime at an enhanced rateBly House is a two-bed service that provides a transformative experience for young people who have experienced trauma and instability. Over a 12 week placement, we offer young people security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Every placement provides access to education and the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure programme. This is underpinned by our therapeutic assessment model, which helps determine what support a young person needs and defines their next steps.

Key dutiesWe are looking for a nurturing and supportive person, who can give our children high levels of therapeutic care and help them to achieve amazing outcomes. In your role, you will:

Support children and young people in a residential care setting

Create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where they can flourish

Plan and take part in exciting activities—from outdoor adventures to creative projects

Be a positive role model, helping build confidence, resilience, and life skills

Work as part of a passionate, supportive team that values every voice

Requirements

Experience in a children''s residential care home (highly desirable)

A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (desirable)

Experience within care, education, mental health support and/or youth activities (essential)

A Full driving licence issued in the UK (essential)

Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions (essential)

Values in line with Esland''s, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare (essential)

A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities (essential)

Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above (essential)

Estimated salary:

Based on a pay rate of £12.75 to £13.75 per hour for days (depending on qualifications held) and working 12 sleep-nights per month on average (at £60 per sleep night).
