A growing engineering company in Halstead, Essex are recruiting for a Welder / Fabricator.

This is a temporary - permanent position which is paying between -13.50 - -15 per hour (depending on experience).

Duties:

• As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be doing MIG & TIG welding
• TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminium
• Working from technical drawings to engineering and quality standards
• Following and improving on processes to improve productivity within manufacturing
• Quality checking once the welds are completed
• Reporting into the Team Leader daily
• Welding between 1mm - 6mm
• Fabrication work required when needed
• Implementing and refining jigs and fixtures to ensure consistent results and increased efficiency

Candidate requirements:

• Ability to read from technical drawings
• Working knowledge of MIG welding in aluminium and stainless steel would be advantageous
• NVQ, Diploma or apprenticeship withing welding/fabrication or similar

• Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4:30pm with an early finish on Fridays (37.5 hour week)
