We are a leading regional IT Solutions Provider and Sage Accredited Business Partner based in Hull. We are looking for a Support Engineer to join our growing Technical Support team.The applicant must have experience working in a 1st line IT support role, have excellent customer service skills, be solution focused and be able to work to tight deadlines. The applicant will be required to travel so a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle insured for business use is required. A minimum of 1 years\'' experience working within managed services support is desirable.The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day support of our client base at a 1st line level. Client facing installations will be undertaken as well as the introduction of new solutions that will improve business efficiency and effectiveness.You may be required to be flexible at times as you may be asked to work outside normal office hours to meet the needs of clients. It is expected that the successful candidate will take part in the on-call rota after being in employment for 6 months.Key Requirements

Efficiently troubleshooting IT issues, including desktop, application, telecoms, printing, networking and site communications, either in person, over the phone or remotelyHelp troubleshoot and manage the resolution of issues with the assistance of third-party vendorsTake ownership of, prioritise and keep users informed of ticket progressShow excellent understanding of Cyber Security principlesAbility to perform maintenance and configuration tasks on switches, firewalls and wireless equipmentKnowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, and network managementUnderstanding of networking components (i.e. VPN, LAN, WAN, VLAN, DNS and DHCP)A comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Operating SystemsExperience with industry standard firewalls (preferably SonicWALL) or equivalentExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levelsConversant with Microsoft 365 productsCustomer focused with outstanding customer empathyHold a full UK driving licenseAbility to commute to head office: HU7 0AEDDesirable
Previous experience supporting and maintaining the latest Windows Server and Windows Desktop environmentsExperience of administering Active Directory and GPOExperience delivering client facing IT projects through to completionMicrosoft Hyper-V ManagementExposure to VOIP systems and principlesExposure to Web Hosting and DNSExposure to Microsoft AzureExposure to Apple and Linux Operating SystemsExposure to Remote Desktop ServicesMicrosoft 365 Certified (Preferably Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert)Benefits
