Head of FinanceFixed-Term Contract (12 months+ | Maternity Cover | Remote (UK)We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Head of Finance to join a private-equity-backed organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract.This is a senior role with a strong emphasis on audit delivery, financial statements, systems ownership, monitoring and reporting within a fast-growing, multi-entity environment.Key Responsibilities Lead the year-end audit process, acting as primary contact for external auditorsOwn the preparation and review of statutory financial statementsDeliver high-quality monthly and annual management reporting, including group inputsMaintain strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity, and reconciliationsSupport group consolidation, intercompany accounting, and rechargesProvide financial oversight across multiple legal entitiesFull ownership of finance systems and access controlsAct as internal system expert for Sage Intacct (including troubleshooting, data integrity, and enhancements)Oversee cash management, cashflow forecasting, and banking activityReview and authorise payment runsMaintain strong oversight of controls, reporting timetables, and deadlinesLine management of a small finance teamProvide hands-on technical support across audit, reporting, and systemsEnsure continuity and stability during the maternity cover period Essential Experience Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experienceStrong audit delivery and financial statement preparat
