Maths teacher required for a prominent secondary school in Bristol

Are you an ECT recently finished with your course looking for your first full time teaching placement? Perhaps you are relocating to Bristol? Whatever your motiviation, we are looking for a Maths teacher to make a measurable contribution to a secondary school that has undergone huge positive changes in the last 12 months and looking to continue that success.-

This is a full time role that will likely go permanent should the placement work well for both you and the school. As with any full time teaching role, marking and planning is required. You will be a Maths subject specialist with a strong foundation in the KS3 and KS4 curriculum. The ideal teacher will be passionate around the subject and be adept at pitching to various learning abilities in a way that enables and empowers students to believe that they can solve mathmatical problems.-

The school has made great positive changes that has benefited the entire school, they have a visable and mobile SLT team that ensure students are where they should be and following school rules, along with a outstanding behaviour support team. So despite some of the more colourful behaviours some students can exhibit, the school has a great grasp on ensuring policies are followed.-

REQUIREMENTS;-

- UK QTS with a specialism in Maths.-

- Strong curriculum knowledge around KS3 and KS4 Maths, and able to differentiate to ensure inclusion to all learning levels

- Good behaviour management and able to follow school policies that hold students accountable

- Reflective on what is working and what isn''t in your lessons, and able to demonstrate effective as well as measurable attainment from students

- A team player and share in the wider goals of the department and the schools vision and values

- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
