A welcoming primary school in Greenwich (SE10) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated SEND provision. This role involves working closely with pupils who have high-functioning needs, including ASD and non-verbal communication challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs, ensuring consistency and structure throughout the dayDeliver small group interventions in line with EHCP targets, focusing on communication, social skills and regulationUse a range of strategies (PECS, visual timetables, sensory aids, Makaton) to promote engagement and inclusionWork in partnership with the SENDCo, class teacher and external professionals to implement individual support plansCreate a safe, nurturing environment that encourages independence and personal developmentCandidate CriteriaRelevant Qualification - Level 3 TA or degree in psychology or relevant field.Proven experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly autism and non-verbal communicationConfident working 1:1 and leading small group interventionsAble to use a calm, patient and proactive approach to behaviour and
