Project Support Officer

About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join a regional health innovation organisation working at the intersection of the NHS, academia, and industry. This role is designed to support a portfolio of projects that drive the identification, protection, development, and adoption of healthcare innovation across the region.
This position is ideally suited to someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in innovation, research, and healthcare transformation. You’ll be working as part of a dynamic team that supports projects with real-world impact—bringing new ideas, technologies, and processes into health and care systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject and Programme Support
Provide administrative and coordination support to innovation projects across a range of thematic areas.
Monitor project timelines, key milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful delivery.
Contribute to the development and implementation of project pathways and digital tracking systems (e.g. innovation management platforms).
Undertake light-touch research and assist with drafting project briefs, initiation documents, and evaluation reports.
Work collaboratively with project leads to capture data and insights that demonstrate impact and return on investment.
Governance and Reporting
Prepare and support governance meetings (agendas, minutes, action tracking, etc.).
Assist with the collation and submission of quarterly assurance reports and internal updates.
Support procurement activities, including preparation and administration of documentation within approved frameworks.
Operational Support
Maintain up-to-date project records and document libraries across shared platforms.
Coordinate legal documentation and facilitate invoice/payment processes as required.
Contribute to maintaining efficient administrative systems and collaborative team practices.
Identify and escalate risks, issues or blockers to the relevant project or line manager.
