Plumber Responsibilities:Maintain mechanical, air, and water systems, ensuring compliance with legislation.Respond to maintenance requests and report faults to the Helpdesk.Perform statutory inspections and testing.Ensure safe and compliant use of tools, equipment, and materials.Carry out multi-skilled tasks (e.g. electrical isolation, minor carpentry).Promote and adhere to University policies on health and safety, environment, and equality. Plumber Requirements:City and Guilds or NVQ in mechanical servicesElectrical qualification is desirableStrong understanding of mechanical/plumbing systems.Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.Experience diagnosing faults in engineering systems.Willingness to train in other trades and work towards multi-skilled competency.Full UK driving licence.Ability to work independently and support out-of-hours rotas.
