SEN Teaching Assistant - (Newton Le Willows)
Tempest Education are working with a Primary School in Warrington (Newton Le Willows)The School are looking to appoint the Teaching Assistant on the 2nd February.The role is supporting a pupil in KS1 on a 1:1 basis. You will be expected to delivery personalised interventions and activities which are tailored to the particular child you will be supporting.This role is for the full academic year and there is potential for this role to become permanent.As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the team and provide personalised support for children ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive in their education. Your responsibilities will include:Assisting in the implementation of personalised learning plans for SEN studentsSupport children working at a level below expectedPersonal carePlan and deliver interventionsPhonics supportOffering 1:1 and small group support for children with ASD.Helping create a nurturing, positive, and inclusive learning environmentSupporting classroom activities and adapting resources to meet student''s needsEncouraging social, emotional, and academic developmentCollaborating with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to deliver targeted interventionsRequirements: Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is highly desirablePatience, compassion, and a positive approach to supporting children''s learningExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA genuine passion for working in education and helping
