Overview

Join us as an AVP - UI React Software Engineer within our Private bank area and be involved in a large scale modernisation and build of a best-in-class mobile-first app to be used by 10,000 of clients. This is a great opportunity to work on a greenfield project on the latest technology and learn from experts.This role will be based out of our Glasgow Campus.Responsibilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and align with business objectives.Collaborate with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster technical excellence and growth.Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.Qualifications

Experience with React, React Testing Library, React Query, and TypeScript.Previous experience in Financial Services or a Large entity.Mentoring junior peers.Some highly valued skills may include:Computing degreeExposure to JavaExperience with cloud providers (ideally AWS).Assistant Vice President Expectations

Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders to support resolution of escalated issues.Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.Collaborate with other areas to keep up to speed with business activity and strategy.Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to problem-solve creatively and effectively.Communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders.Influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.Seniority level
