Mobile Plant Operator

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client for Mobile Plant Operators to join a leading processing equipment company. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for candidates with mechanical or electrical experience who enjoy travelling, varied work, and operating heavy machinery.

• Operate and maintain a range of mobile processing plant at various sites across the UK.
• Work away from home for up to 10 days at a time (followed by 4 days off).
• Follow staggered shift patterns, including occasional night shifts and weekend work.
• Optimise machine settings for efficient processing.
• Assist service engineers both on site and at the company''s main workshop.
• Conduct machine assembly, disassembly, and ensure all work follows Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

• Proven experience as a plant operator with knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Self-motivated, confident, and able to work unsupervised-often at remote locations.
• Process plant operations experience desirable, especially in the water or heavy industrial sectors.
• Computer literate and well-organised.
• Must be flexible to adapt to shift work and changing site requirements.
• Full UK manual driving licence (clean preferred).
• Forklift or Telehandler licence is an advantage but not essential.

• Salary: Up to -42,778 per annum based on 12-hour shifts.
• Overtime: Paid at time and a half (Mon-Sat) and double time (Sundays and Bank Holidays).
• Shift Allowances: Paid for night and extended shifts.
• Vehicle: Company van and fuel card provided.
• Tools: All required tools and IT equipment provided.
• Training: Extensive onboarding, mentoring, and development programme.
• Holidays: 28 days annual leave, rising to 33 with service.
• Pension: Company pension after qualifying period.
