In this role, you will play a crucial part in the recycling process, ensuring that materials are sorted and processed efficiently. Responsibilities Sort and separate recyclable materials from waste streams, ensuring proper categorisation of items. Operate machinery and equipment used in the recycling process, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Perform routine maintenance on recycling equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Assist in the loading and unloading of materials onto conveyor belts or into containers. Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and improve recycling efficiency. Experience Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Mechanical knowledge is highly desirable, as it will aid in operating and maintaining machinery effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety and proper lifting techniques. A strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential for success in this role.
