Are you a patient, resilient, and empathetic individual with a passion for supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs£ A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gerrards Cross is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions and engage in learning
• Build trusting relationships to encourage positive behaviour and emotional resilience
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour using de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement personalised support plans
• Create a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural challenges, or trauma (in education or care settings)
• Be calm, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
• Communicate effectively and work well within a team
• Be confident using behaviour support strategies and emotional regulation tools
• Be open to ongoing training and professional development
