The Role

The successful candidate will lead and develop the English department. They will ensure high-quality teaching and strong outcomes for all students.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the English curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and 5, if applicable)

• Raising standards of teaching, learning, and assessment

• Supporting and developing staff within the department

• Monitoring student progress and implementing effective interventions

• Promoting a love of reading and literature across the school
